St.Anne’s Sure Start & Community Centre was awarded a Colchester2020 and RIBA Award 2008

Jane Wernick will be giving an illustrated talk as part of Docomomo's 'Masters of Concrete' lecture series. 'Ove Arup's Concrete' will take place on Monday 3rd of November starting at 7pm with drinks from 6.30, at The Gallery, 70 Cowcross Street, London, EC1. 'Building Happiness: Architecture To Make You Smile' Edited by Jane Wernick RIBA Building Futures, was launched on the 22nd of October at 7pm in Shoreditch Town Hall.

The Young Vic won the British Construction Industry 2008 Building Award.

September


BBC Scotland won an ICE Scotland Design Commendation.

Oundle Sci-Tec has been shortlisted for the RIBA/English Partnerships Sustainability Award and the RIBA/Sorrell Foundation Schools Award.

The Cremorne Boating Centre has been shortlisted for the Stephen Lawrence Prize.

Jane was made a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers by the personal invitation of the President, David Orr.

The Singing Ringing Tree has won a Certificate of merit from the Structural Steel Design Awards.

Cremorne Boating Centre and Potters Fields have been shortlisted for the British Construction Industry Small Building Award.

The Young Vic has been shortlisted for the British Construction Industry Building Award.

Oundle SciTec won the RIBA Regional Award for the East Midlands.

The Lightbox, Woking won the RIBA Regional Award for the South East.

Cremorne Boating Centre won the RIBA Regional Award for London.

The Kew Xstrata Tree Top walkway was opened on 22 May by Princess Alexandra and Hilary Benn MP, to universal acclaim.

22 May the Lightbox, Woking won the Art Fund Prize for museums and galleries 2008.

April 30 April 2008, the Xstrata Tree Top Walkway and Rhizotron won this year’s Conde Nast Traveller Innovation and Design Award.

The Young Vic Theatre was announced as the Building Magazine’s Project of the Year.

The Lightbox, Woking and the Young Vic Theatre both received full awards at the Civic Trust Awards ceremony held in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The Lightbox, Woking was selected as one of Building Design Magazine’s top four best Public Buildings projects for 2007.

Jane Wernick Associates shortlisted for the Olympic park footbridge design competition.

June 2007 Jane Wernick was shortlisted for an outstanding achievement Award in the construction category of the Inspire Awards Recognising Women in the Built Environment.

Des Moines Public Library has won an International Award and was shortlisted for the Lubetkin Prize.

May 2007 The Singing Ringing Tree has won an RIBA Regional Award.

Colin Jackson has joined us from Arup.

The Maggie's Centre won the American Institute of Architects UK Chapter Excellence in Design Award.

2006
We have won part of the River Gardens project in Prague with Feilden Clegg Bradley Architects.

Zaha Hadid's first permanant UK building, The Maggie's Centre at Kirkcaldy, was completed in November.

The Sure Start building in St. Anne's, Colchester was completed in June.

Leam Cottage in Northumberland was completed in April.

SS Great Britain restoration was completed. Jane Wernick Associates along with Julian Harap Architects did the feasibility study.
